last kesh post for today. promise. i think.

freshman year in college i wrote an entire five page essay on the kesh photo below
the assignment was to analyze the photographer's point of view
and what the photographer was trying to capture
"She plays on gender roles with both the male and the female in the picture. The female is depicted as more androgynous and holds a masculine stance; whereas the man is wearing false eyelashes and a dress making him seem more feminine. Normally we are shown pictures of rugged and strong men taking control in intense situations demanding a male’s attention, and a woman in large fluffy dresses concerned with superficial aspects of life. Her subtle and yet major attack on the gender roles that have been set over time depicts an alternative view that has been silenced and been in the dark for decades."
"The photographer has angled the camera above the subjects so that the viewers are 'looking down' gaining what could appear to be superior view, but their facial expressions are nonchalant and indifferent towards the opinions of those looking in"

the second photo was plastered over one of my infamous notebooks
freshman year in college as well..
this picture is so striking (partially due to my obsession with people who can draw)
it is so O.o #POW
things that happen in another person's mind
i would never think to draw this ever

i also love the things outlining the drawing...

the last picture. i just love.
the wallet and show with the same textures.
the colors and contrasting. beauty at its basics.
